What Are Value Sprints?
Most organizations "finish" their Planful implementation at go-live—and watch adoption stagnate. Value sprints are different.
Value sprints are quarterly cycles where we work alongside your team to unlock a specific, measurable outcome in your Planful environment. Each sprint is scoped to deliver in 90 days—no year-long roadmaps that drift or stall. Instead, you ship outcomes like rolling forecasts, driver-based models, automated board packets, or SKU-level P&Ls that your team actually uses. Value Sprints are our post-go-live quarterly cycles; implementation work is delivered through shorter 7–10 day Implementation Sprints.

Think of it as compound interest for your FP&A investment. Each sprint builds on the last, deepening adoption, expanding capability, and maximizing the ROI on your Planful subscription—year after year.
Implementation Sprints
Sprints are the cornerstone of our implementation methodology.

Each project is delivered through multiple Implementation Sprints, typically 7–10 days each. Every sprint produces tangible output you can review, test, and approve.

1) Team Training
We train the project team before Sprint Planning so everyone understands the terminology and the core concepts of the module.

2) Sprint Prep
Sprint Prep includes tasks for both the Client and Top Down CPM. Clients gather the data, reports, and source files required for the sprint. Top Down CPM validates inputs and prepares the application so the sprint can move fast.

3) Sprint Planning
Sprint Planning is a structured working session where configuration decisions are made. Expect hands-on work. We often include key end users (even if they weren’t in training) to shape design decisions and drive adoption.

4) Sprint Build & Review
This is where the module is built (templates, reports, models, etc.). We hold short, frequent check-ins (often daily) to review progress, resolve questions, and keep delivery moving.

5) End User Training & Rollout
For modules with broad user interaction (Reporting and Planning), we help create training materials (PowerPoint/Word) and support delivery to end users for a successful rollout.
