"First and foremost, I believe in hospice and palliative care. On a personal note, my Grand mommy died in pain, screaming until her voice became silent. I wanted to do something to prevent other families from experiencing the same. I started working in hospice and grew increasingly convinced of the importance of quality of end-of-life care based on my interactions with patients and families. I wanted people to be aware of hospice and palliative care before reaching a crisis. OHPCA was not only an organization that could expand my knowledge through workshops and conferences, but also one that could raise public awareness about care available through hospice. I am passionate about this organization and its mission to reach the public with a message of hope, care, and comfort at the end of life."
